Ceylon Fishing Industries Ltd

These Fishing boats are restricted / prohibited to contact fishing operations beyond 20miles away from the Coast line of Indian Ocean, And Safety system are not sufficient at all, which gives no guarantee for the Fishermen life. Every day they sacrifice themselves to survive a day, until now; the government has lost many valuable, talented lives regularly.  Moreover, this type of Fishing, except for Long Line, The Gillnets, which are not, recommended any more in the world to use for Deep-Sea Fishing and that cannot obtain a Quality and high Quantity Fishing for the Local Consumptions or even to meet the Export demand.
IOTC & SRI LANKA - Fishing Industry.

The IOTC invited Sri Lanka Government with its own proposal to share the Tuna Fishing Quota to do Fishing in the  International water, particularly in the Indian Ocean. Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic resource of Sri Lanka is not in an exact position to send or offer a sound proposal to IOTC (Indian Ocean Tuna Commission) to obtain or share our rights that based on Quotas for Fishing Tuna among other regional countries, The IOTC is targeting only Tuna Fishing in the International Water belonging or surrounding Sri Lanka. Due to this, the Country is struggling to provide a better life style for the Fisheries Sector, and gradual increase in the poverty level of the country, and the Country could not earn any additional income, which is a burden to the country.  The main core reason is that the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka or the Citizens belonging to the Island have not yet experience the commercial or Industrial Fishing Vessel Operations.  Even the Domestic Financial Institutions have no idea about the extreme level of Fishing and are not capable to help (provide with required fund) nor motivate this sector.  Though there are number of Financial Institutions in the Nation, the core reason is that the Interest rates provided are very high in Sri Lanka and Banks possess lack of Foreign Currency. Therefore, it is complicated for a major project such as CFI to launch and make a revolution.  Still the government policy states that to improve the Fisheries sector, none understands the positive impact of the project uplifted by CFI, that which will create a new world for the Fishermen and a change in their lifestyle and make a wonder in Sri Lanka

I feel guilty to uphold this point, Indian Fishermen are visiting the Boundary of EEZ of Sri Lanka to grab the valuable resources that relies in the pearl of Indian Ocean which is under the Ceylon Government sovereign, and create regular violations for illegal Fishing across our Boundary and disrespecting our sovereign rights and stealing the precious resources (Fish and other Sea species) which belongs to the one and only nation (the Ceylon). CFI will challenge, make a change, and show that none can obtain our rights, our values, and our respect under any circumstances.  CFI will act as a role model to other nations and Companies.
