Ceylon Fishing Industries Limited (CFI Ltd.) registered in the General Register of Companies of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (No. PB 4777) and it is incorporated under the Sri Lankan companies Act. No.7 of 2007. CFI Ltd. aims to become the top market leader in fishing industry and its related processes, thus making solid Sri Lanka self-sufficient as well as becoming an active player in the Export as regards the supply of fishing products. Sri Lanka will benefit beyond on double & triple from the project by CFI Ltd.: first from the economic point of view, create and expand several jobs and Social developments and a boom economic growth of national GDP, second, however, contributes to the development of the National Fishing Industry as a contribute for National Strategic Developmet, where the Sinhalese government, with special attention, through granting several incentives and initiatives of various kinds, It has implemented since 2005 for the country's economic recovery.

Future Plans and Needs

Our Company’s major Objective and Future plan is to support the nation building, thereby providing a substantial contribution to improve the Fish production to an unexpected Output level, where none of the Industries in Sri Lanka has/had achieved, Improve the Welfare of the Fishing Industry, promoting exports of the Fisheries product of the country. Provide Food and livelihood security to the rural population at the per capita availability.

Considering the booming global demand for Seafood, improving the export production with due care for Food Security and unique product competitiveness has been embarked upon.  We are currently in the process of helping and providing the needs of people in the nation, Purchasing Industrial Vessels from Italy and these machines will utilize sufficient and required amount of resources from the paradise to supply to the nation and other nation. Set-up an Industry for Fish Processing, Canning Factory and Fishmeal plants and decided to be installed at the Oluvil harbor with the help of the Government of Ceylon and other private Individuals who are in the aim of helping / building this Island.

This Project will contribute:

• To make a stop for the tears brought down by starvation, and overcome the problems that affect civil society nationally.

• To contribute beyond on the Targets & Achievements of the highest level of expectation of the output of Ceylon Fisheries Corporation of Sri Lanka.

• To avoid the exploitation of Consumers and provide better employment working conditions and environments.

• To offer varieties of fish and fisheries products for the Choices of Ceylon Citizens & for the Outsiders.

• To carry out Technological surveillance programs to identify new trends in food consumption that will help CFI to meet the most relevant expectations of its consumers.

• Provide the best quality, healthy, tasty Fish products with hygienic standard to the nation and neighbor nations too.

To utilize the resources efficiently and satisfy the needs of people in an attractive and in an unexpected way, providing the most relevant, Quality products to the citizens of Ceylon.  And improve their lifestyles and Job Opportunities in the Island.  Offer Products with a reasonable price, where the consumers are able to afford for it.
